Alpenglow is committed to ethical, sustainable, and environmental practices that ensure we have little environmental impact as possible. Through our packaging, shipping, manufacturing, and small business model, we seek to redefine the way the world relates to not only single serve coffee, but consumerism in general. Aside from our own practices, we value the important work that is already being done on the ground and in doing so will donate a portion of every purchase to organizations that shares a similar vision – grounded in climate justice and conservation efforts.

For this quarter we are donating 1% of all profits to Save our Great Salt Lake . The Save Our Salt Lake organization is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and protection of the Great Salt Lake. The organization works to ensure the continued health of the lake and its wildlife, and to educate the public about the importance of the lake in our environment and economy. The Great Salt Lake is a terminal one, meaning it has no outlets. Absent of any outflow, its lake bed has absorbed decades’ worth of industrial waste, pesticides, and heavy metals that occur naturally in Utah’s soil. As water is diverted from the lake – largely for agricultural use and mineral extraction – dried particles blow across the Wasatch Front, exposing millions to toxic, irritating dust.

Without intervention, Great Salt Lake is on track to become one of the largest dust emission sources in North America
